I mean, I get you don’t want robots to sign up… but jeez, go easy on the captcha!

I had to go through 5 or 6 test identifying an object. They also could have just text me the code instead of emailing me which is a hassle.
Garbage app. To sign in, it asked for my phone number. I entered my phone number and it had my email associated with it. So far so good. It said it would email me a code, but it never emailed a code. Fail! 👎 When trying to detect my location, it said I was in a different hemisphere in the middle of the ocean. I'm on dry land. Garbage app. I see why I uninstalled it months ago. Ridiculously, I thought were they would’ve fixed it by now. Avoid.
Even though it says free. When you place the order it adds $3. Even the restaurant wasn’t aware of this app or that they were adding fees. One of the most established restaurants in town.
This app has no value, and it’s an unethical use of technology. It’s an AI middleman that takes your order and then adds a “service fee” which they hide with the sales tax. They then use an AI bot to place the order on the restaurant’s own website, which don’t have the fee. You lose, sucker! They don’t even have the permission of most of the restaurants to do this, its just a scam.
The Lentil soup is a must have! The Lemon Oregano chicken is bussin😋
This crazy. I place an order on this app while I was passing by McAlester OK, I went to the store for pick up and they told me they never received the order. I order for almost $50. I never received any refund , they also don’t have any phone number to contact them. DO MOT USE THEM .
This app is not designed to be user friendly or helpful or resourceful. And there are no numbers to get in touch with them about technical issues. I just need a receipt for my order! It shouldn’t be this difficult!!!
I tried to open the app and it is stuck on login page. Is this service app shutting down? I read through reviews and seems like this app will not survive. What is going on?
I used to LOVE using Ritual before the pandemic. It saved you time and the prices were the same as in store. Everything changed since then. It was only yesterday that I noticed they charge a $0.99 service fee in the orders and the prices on ritual is more than the in store prices. The only reason I noticed the service fee was my order didn’t show up at the restaurant despite the app telling me the transaction was completed and I could pick up. I had to pull up the receipt to show the cashier and that was how I noticed the 0.99 service charge. I also had to show them the bank confirmation that they charged my card. After back and forth like 8 minutes, they put in the order for me “free of charge”. I told them I can call ritual but then the lady said this happened before and they were able to see the transaction in the “back end”. I then reviewed all my receipts and noticed the $0.99 fee they charged since the pandemic. I think they are being sneaky. When you order, you see the price but when you check out to pay, you don’t see an itemize list show the charges. It shows one final charge (I always thought the final charge was the food plus taxes). You have to pull up the receipt in order to see the service fee. I’m not using them anymore. Before I delete the app, want to warn others. You can still order from seamless.
when i open the app it gets stuck on the initial loading screen. absolutely unusable, which us a shame because i used to like using it but i literally can’t!
I had over $35 worth of points accumulated, and, upon return to the office, discovered that Ritual had taken them all. Searched, but did not find any emails from the company warning of their new policy. Not a good business model; I will be sure to let my colleagues know.
Tried to add our new phone number to Ritual but app doesn’t send verification code. Ritual “help” just blames the telephone carrier but all other apps we changed our phone on were able to send and verify the codes we received from them. Totally fed up with this app.
Great way to order! Love avoiding lines especially during lunch.
$7 sandwich ends up just under 10 bucks….
One would imagine with the introduction of service fees earlier this year (not having that previously made the app much more attractive), that Ritual would make sure its app functions on iOS 17 and iPhone 15’s. Sadly, it is now impossible to log back in and utilize the app due to a improperly loading login screen after putting in a phone number (blank). Of course, they have probably outsourced most of their coding work…shame. And easy access to any rapid customer support is nonexistent outside of say, leaving this review… which will not be rapid in any way.
No warning is given for expiring points, I’ve had the app since 2018 and all my points accumulated were removed in 2022.
I’ve tried to use this app with about 5 restaurants now and every single order ends up “unavailable” and canceled, despite being open and taking orders from other sources. Why partner with restaurants that won’t except orders??
I was charged for an order I placed through Ritual, but the restaurant just never received the order, and couldn’t fulfill it when I showed up. The items on the menu shown in Ritual is not even close to what the restaurant actually offers. I had to download the app in order to get any support from their team, and the issue is still unresolved.
Better off going through the restaurant directly or using a different pickup service because these guys charge for something that is free on other platforms.
Was a fan of ritual until they added exorbitant fees. Now they tack on almost an entire dollar onto a coffee ordered on their platform for pickup kind you. Avoid at all cost
This app is so stupid. My Team doesn’t work properly ever. A waste of time.
I have many food apps but like ritual the best because it’s not tied to a particular restaurant, prices are not inflated, and it consistently rewards use with redeemable points for future discounts.
no customer support. I did not receive my order and there is no way to claim a return
The restaurants in Boston supporting Rituals is dwindling, also some show as temporarily unavailable for over a month.
Walking my dog and i am four blocks from the coffee shop and i place an order. It dings to confirm order has gone thru. I put my phime in my pocket. Go to the coffee shop and wait five minutes. The barista tells mecshe did not get the order. I pull out my ohon and it says "you appear to be far, are you sure you want to order now?" That's the whole point of ordering by app!!! I can figure that out all by myself. Whoever at ritual decided to waste my time is the worst.
My $5 reward wasn’t applied and no response from customer service.
Ordered and it said I would get 10 for my next meal. I have not seen it. Now I HOPE they don’t mean send a referral link AND THEN you get $10
Paid twice for an order and never got the issue resolved. Deleted app and would not use again or recommend.
I’ve used Ritual for a couple of years for coffee shop orders and found it prettt good for the most part. Unfortunately I recently placed a restaurant dinner order, which I picked up, which was made incorrectly and didn’t match the menu description. I filed a complaint through the app and received an email that CS had received my message and would be in touch. But after two days there has been no response. I replied to the email and no response there either. Much better CS with the larger delivery apps. I probably won’t be using Ritual much anymore. UPDATE: After 4 days Customer Service contacted me to offer a $5 coupon to the same restaurant where I had a terrible experience. Unbelievable.
Not sure how they average a 4.9. They only had about 10% of actual the menu items listed. The restaurant never confirmed the order and ritual canceled it after about 10 minutes. Fail.
I ordered rib tip hot link combo from Robinson ribs # 1 paid $19.98 for it had to go into union station had no idea where to go there is no parking outside nothing but tow signs no parking signs I had to take escalator down escalator up walk walk to get to food court. App said my order ready 3:50 thru 3:55 it was 4 pm and they had no clue I ordered the man was very argumentative I’m showing him the app saying pick up at 225 S Canal St asking how I ordered I said 5 x on their website finally he asked did you order thru Ritual said we don’t do Uber eats no more I’m like WTH just give me my food before I get ticketed and towed I got 5 dinner fries a big dinner roll one hot link for $19.98 the rib tips did not taste like pork did not look like pork tast horrible after eating two I could not eat no more sauce was nasty tasteless got about 6 ribtips very small that white to go plate was so empty which I would have went to Lems or honeys or jewels they tips are good never will I go there again for nothing my ribs were put on a grill to warm up they were already cooked but taste fried that is not what I was looking forward to
Do not recommend
Garbage kinky app and terrible customer service
There seems to be an issue with latest app update. When I try to log into the app, I get an error that says “we are sorry… an error occurred, please login again through your application.”
This app is so buggy! Leaving a team was next to impossible. Somehow my coworker joined our new team twice, yet doesn’t get any notifications for the piggybacks. Every single time I order, the default payment method is PayPal despite that method not being present in my payment methods in preferences. Frustrating.
Excellent customer service will win the game every time. I was a first time user, made a huge mistake, and Ritual customer service was there to make everything right.
I enjoy the app!
I’ve reported incorrect prices many, many times with pictures of the menus. Ritual does not fix the issue yet they market themselves as having in store prices. Not only that but their points in the promotions often don’t work (e.g. write this word in the box for “special requests” to get an extra 2,000 points—oh, but there is no special request box). When they came out years ago, I really liked they app, but now I feel like they’re deceptive and the points are worth so little. Don’t use Ritual; support restaurants by ordering from them directly. —— Re: Developer Response - This is an empty reply. I have already reached out to customer service about these issues multiple times. Customer service hasn’t fixed them. Why would I keep wasting my time?
I’ve used and loved the app for the past three years. It’s been a staple on my Home Screen. But with the most recent update to the app, I can no longer login. I’ve spent weeks going back and forth with the very helpful customer service team, and while I can login on the desktop version of the website, we have not been able to fix whatever is malfunctioning in the app.
Delivery orders are outsourced to Doordash. When you have a problem it’s a nightmare to get in contact and a run around to resolve issues.
Ritual claims to offer the same prices as the restaurant, but I've encountered several instances where the Ritual prices are higher. In the case of a chicken restaurant near me, Ritual's prices are $1.50-$2 higher per item than on the restaurant's website or through an app like Toast.
I used to use Ritual all the time. But for the last several months, their sign in process has been broken. Every time I enter in my phone number to sign in, their system never sends the confirmation code to my phone, making it impossible to sign in.
Has Tampa Florida been added to your list of cities?
App used to work well, then they did an update and everything broke. Previous order history and stamps were deleted, as were all settings including stored payments. User support is on the slow side, making addressing problems challenging. Recently orders haven’t processed correctly, causing delays in pick-up.
I ordered food but the restaurant was closed 2 hours ago. Never got a refund. No easy way to find support. Do. Not. Use. This. The app and service is just not ready.
App works great. Easy to reorder my favorites. Please add more places when COVID is done.
Ritual is an awesome app for saving money
Costumer service is wack and the deals you think you would receive are borderline scams to make you use the app more. “Give 10, Get 10” was there catch phase for a referral code but it actually is you get 2 dollars every order up to 10 dollars.
